Executive directors Neil and Julie Ross and David Rilstone are long-term Central Australians with a proven commitment to their community and business, Neil is the General Manager, Julie is the Finance and Administration Manager and David is responsible for Operations.
Neil Ross - General Manager
Neil Ross was born and raised in Alice Springs and has been a director of Ross Engineering since 1983. He served on the Central Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for over 10 years where he also served as Chairman from 2000-2003. Mr Ross has been a member of the Charles Darwin University Council since 2004 and has been an active Rotarian since 1995.
Julie Ross - Finance and Administration Manager
Julie has played an instrumental role in the company since 1987 and in recent years has taken on the role of Finance and Administration Manager/Executive Director. Her original background was in banking. Julie has served on a number of advisory boards and committees to the NT Government, including the Government Procurement Council. Julie is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the NT Executive Committee, She has served as Chair and Vice Chair of the Chamber of Commerce Northern Territory's Central Australian Regional Executive Committee for a number of years, She was elected to the Chamber of Commerce NT Board in 2009 and became the first female regional President of the Chamber of Commerce in October 2011. Julie is also involved in the National Pioneer Women Hall of Fame and many other community groups.
Luke Richardson - Workshop Manager
Luke came to Ross Engineering in 2003 after completing his trade as a boilermaker/welder in Adelaide. He started on the tools in the workshop and worked on site at various mines and PowerWater installation projects on remote communities. He progressed to shop detailing and drafting for workshop projects, then to a Project Assistant role. Luke then moved into his current role as Workshop Manager, where he is responsible for customer quotations, the main contact for counter sales and sometimes even manages to get back on the tools in the workshop.
